Admission & Discharge

Patients admitted to Townsville Private Clinic must either have suitable Private Health Insurance, DVA Status, Work Cover or the ability to self fund their admission. By calling 1800 884 767, our dedicated Admissions and Assessment team will conduct an over-the-phone assessment and obtain your health fund details in order to confirm a health fund or eligibility check and co-ordinate the allocation of a Psychiatrist. All patients require a referral from a General Practitioner or treating Psychiatrist.

On arrival, our Administration staff will complete your admission process and Nursing staff will then show you to your room. An orientation of the Clinic will be provided. Accommodation consists mostly of single rooms with private ensuite and some shared rooms with shared bathroom.
